Online Focus Groups are effective at testing specific issues as well as issue spotting within a case fact pattern. They are not suitable for every testing objective, nor are a replacement for a traditional focus group or mock jury study, yet are able to provide data and feedback regarding the case issues at a lower price point and in less time. The Online Focus Group typically lasts a half-day, and involves the presentation of case information either by a neutral narrator or by trial counsel. These can be live or pre-recorded. The data and feedback is then gleaned through online polling as well as discussion groups. They can be tailored to include a group deliberations component as well.
